The Kimberley's: Pt 1

As promised ... but where to start? September October in the Kimberley's is the beginning of the build up season, when the weather becomes progressively hotter and more humid in preparation for the wet season. Over the course of the day clouds will build up and then disperse without raining. Although one day we were treated to an afternoon shower.

So you basically step out of the truck and begin to sweat ... and that's before you begin scrambling over rocks to get to some of the more spectacular scenery. Fortunately, in most places, there are ample places to cool down despite it being the end of the dry season, when the water is at it's lowest. So I'll begin with the beach, waterfalls, waterholes and rivers that we cooled down in.

I remember the heat and humidity just sucking the life out of us - and that was just US travelling before we had kids to organise!
The water holes are like an amazing treasure to stumble upon ... well, those in which one is brave enough or has the knowledge that we are safe to be in!

What amazing watery photos ... Such a joy to be able to see things which I will probably never get to experience, so thank you for these!
