Day 23 - Little Girls' Birthday

Starting the day with present opening.

Then we went and had our "Hour of Power" at the Crystal Cathedral.

Impressive building ... demographic of our old 11AM service ... style took me back to Jack Simmonds days ... low biblical content ... large hype factor. The service begins with the choir singing and the fountains down the aisle all leap up, the glass panel to side swings open to reveal the fountains outside too ... I must admit it was hard to keep a straight face.

This afternoon was spent at Disney California. We saw the Aladdin show, excellent, did the Monsters Inc ride, then we split up. I looked after The Boy while the girls were keen to do the California Screamin' rollercoaster. It mades me a little bit sick to think of my little girl on that ride, especially as I stood around watching the cars get shot off at high speed at the start then do loops and big hills. I was watching the start and saw Hubby in the car but couldn't see the girls and figured they had pulled out at the last minute ... but no, they were just too low in the seats to see them. Little Girl loved it ... My Big Girl wasn't so sure ... she complained after going on the little Mulholland drive ride that it made her stomach even more queashy.

We went back to the hotel to get changed ready for Little Girl's birthday tea with the Disney princesses at Ariel's Grotto. A real hit with the kids.

The waiters do the whole happy birthday thing as well.

On the way out we did the essential DCA shot.

Then popped across to Disneyland to check out the fireworks.
