Gone shopping

I had to go shopping today because I needed something for Wayne and Mel's wedding. I was dreading it because I always find I come home frustrated from these types of shopping trips. Today I actually managed to find something. Just got to hem the pants and I'll be right.

Find Joy

I finished the first page of my art journal today. The topic was goals, dreams or aspirations for 2007. My main one is to find joy in my everyday. Time is racing past and I need to make sure I appreciate now. God is good to me and I don't need to be constantly looking forward and missing NOW.

Ethan's first kinder painting

At Ethan's first kinder session he went straight to the easles as soon as he got there. At the end of the session he wanted to take it home but we explained it had to dry. We picked it up today and here it is:

New layout - Backyard Blitz

I finished this LO about our garden. 10 months of hard slog relandscaping and here's the evidence.

The waterlillies are flowering at the moment. Here's a photo. Unfortunately the aphids are terrible.

I'm on a CT

I was asked today to be on the Nuts4Digi creative team and I've accepted. I get to use their kits to do my layouts and have to post in online galleries so it's kind of advertising for them. I'm so excited.

School Photos

The girls had their school photos and the headmistress came and told me how cute the girls were having their photo together holding hands with Sara in her dress way down halfway to her ankles. I knew her dress was a bit long but didn't think it was that big. When Sara came out of class I saw her dress looked bigger than normal. When I checked the tag I saw she was wearing Hayley's dress. Now all her photos will be in this oversize uniform.

Q&A with Sara (First day of school)

Me: What did you do at school today?
Sara: I got my diary, it has my picture on it. I did drawing – I draw on myself.
Me: I can see that. What did you do at lunchtime?
Sara: I play with three.
Hayley: She played with Jessie.
Me: Jessie in year two?
Hayley: Yes.
Me: Were you playing with Emily (Jessie’s sister)?
Sara: Yes and Bethany. Who has the spot under their eye?
Hayley: Clare has the spot.
Sara: Yep I play with Bethany.
Clare and Bethany are twins in Hayley’s class.
Sara: I learned up to three in Italian. Un…I forgot – do you know?
Me: Un, due, tre?
Sara: Yep that’s it.
Me: Did you have a good day?
Sara: Mmm, school’s fun.

Here's the layout using Project 26 kit by Tracy Robinson.
