Ready for school

The clothes are all ready and bags packed for the first day of school. Phew! Sara's very excited, Hayley less so. Hopefully they'll both get a good night's sleep tonight. Hayley is also starting tennis lessons after school - so a big day.

Here's a layout of Hayley I did on the weekend - Unique.

On another note the new series of 24 started last night. Remember the strange partner in Ally McBeal (I forget his name)? He's an advisor to the President which was a bit bizarre at the start. I find myself expecting him to come out with some weird comment or mannerism.

Layout - Live Loud

I had this photo of Sara which I love but because it was blurry I hadn't used it. They had a challenge at ES to use a photo that wasn't perfect so I used this. It really captures the loud full on side of Sara well.

Buckets of water

I've started up bucketing out the bath water onto our front lawn again. I know it seems like a bit of pain but I actually don't mind. When the kids are in bed each night I start - I get a bit of exercise and it really makes a difference to the lawn. Here's a picture - it's already starting to sprout green again.

Swimming and cooking

Hayley and Ethan went back to swimming lessons yesterday. Ethan was extremely keen. I could see him jumping around with his hand up "my turn, my turn". The 4:00 lessons were all messed up so Hayley has been put into a different group. She's in the deep end which is better. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face and told me proudly afterwards how she'd been put up a level.

Ethan helped make tea last night. He mashed up the cherry tomatoes, ripped up bread and pured the egg mixture all over the bench - lots of fun.

Well, this is my first post on here. I'm keeping the blog private for now. . I'm trying to take a new approach in life this year. I really want to enjoy the moments because I feel like I'm always rushing and never appreciating now. A few deep breaths and just walking a little bit slower seem to work wonders. I hope that if I slow down and take a few deep breaths I will be able to enjoy the kids more and not be so uptight. With this in mind I have picked my one little word (read more about it here) and it is BREATHE.
